The Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral ng Teknolohiyang Panlipunan – University of the Philippines Los Baños also known as STP-UPLB is a duly-recognized socio-civic development-oriented student organization from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Mariano and Professor Jennifer Sunga-Amparo from the College of Human Ecology - Department of Social Development Services (CHE - DSDS) who were moved to

transfer knowledge and serve the people. Driven by its motto, Transfer Knowledge and Serve the People, the organization’s objectives include the empowerment of the disadvantaged sectors of the community, enhancement of the capabilities of STP-UPLB as a development-oriented student organization, and promotion of camaraderie among its members, without forgoing academic excellence. Furthermore, the organization believes that the use of the concepts of Social Technology will catalyze the success of its objectives. STP-UPLB is a member organization of CLEAR (Conservation of Laguna de Bay’s Environment and Resources) Youth Network and Samahan ng Kabataan para sa Bayan (SAKBAYAN). STP-UPLB is also a volunteer organization of CANCERvants PH and Foster the Youth PH.
