Beside me are two (2) former presidents of the Davao Oriental Medical Society - DOMS Dr. Jaime Barza (1981–1982) and Dr. Victorio Cubero (1980–1981, 1989–1990, 1997–1998).

As I listened to the stories of the beginnings of DOMS, I could not help but feel both humbled and in awe. Their challenges and difficulties, the joy, laughter, friendship, and dedication that strengthened the society through the years.

To stand beside leaders who helped shape the foundation of DOMS is a privilege. Their stories remind us that the society we continue to build today stands on decades of service, sacrifice, resilience, and unity.

Docs Run Too

We do not just prescribe "exercise", "get fit", "lose weight".

Last Sunday, during the Davao Oriental Medical Society 58th Anniversary, we took the initiative.

'Cause its not enough that doctors should be confined to the four walls of their clinic or operating rooms.

We can also get out to the roads.

We take care of ourselves too.

So let this be a powerful message, doctors just don't just care. Docs run too.
