NURTURING CHILDREN BEGINS WITH NURTURING OURSELVES!

Our two-day face-to-face session with our dedicated ECCD teachers was filled with learning, reflection, and meaningful discoveries!

Caring for the Caregivers
As we strengthen our commitment to nurture the physical domain of young children, we are reminded that we must also take care of our own health. Through the monitoring of vital signs—including blood pressure, blood glucose, oxygen saturation, and pulse rate—we became more aware of the importance of knowing our health status and making informed choices for our well-being.

Rethinking Health and Longevity
We explored research-informed health practices, healthy food choices, the importance of whole and minimally processed foods, and the role of balanced nutrition in promoting long-term wellness. Our discussion of the Blue Zones introduced us to lifestyle factors associated with longevity, inspiring our teachers to reflect on their health perspectives and identify practical changes they can bring into their daily lives and daycare communities.

Understanding Child Development
We also revisited developmental milestones, deepening our understanding of how children grow and develop across different domains and how we can better support their needs during these crucial early years.

Keeping Up with ECCD Developments
Another important highlight was our discussion on the transition from Republic Act No. 10410 to Republic Act No. 12199, emphasizing the evolving ECCD landscape and the importance of staying informed about the laws and policies that guide our work.

Beyond the lessons, we hope our teachers carry home something more meaningful: a renewed perspective on health, a stronger commitment to self-care, and a deeper understanding of their vital role in shaping the lives of young children.

Because healthy teachers are better equipped to nurture healthy, happy, and thriving children!

Here’s to continuing our journey of growth—not only as ECCD professionals but also as individuals who lead by example. After all, we cannot pour from an empty cup!

Celebrating Teachers, Learning, and Self-Care!

Today, our ECCD teachers took a moment to celebrate Teacher’s Day with their teacher—sharing heartfelt appreciation, thoughtful gifts, and meaningful moments together. 💐🎁❤️

We also celebrated another milestone as our teachers submitted their first set of modules and explored the Physical Domain, with emphasis on the different factors that affect our physical well-being—especially the importance of quality sleep, proper nutrition, physical activity, and healthy lifestyle choices.

And because teachers should walk their talk, we ended our session with an energetic Zumba session! 💃🕺🎶

After all, caring for children starts with caring for ourselves. Self-care is not selfish—it helps us stay healthy, energized, and ready to give our best to the children we serve.

Planting Roots, Growing with Purpose!

Our 2nd Batch of ECCD (from Sta. Ana and Apalit) Orientation kicked off with meaningful stories, reflections, and a whole lot of commitment!

Through our Tree of Commitment Activity, each participant shared their ECCD journey—where they started, the values that guide them, the strengths they bring to their work, and what they still hope to learn and improve.

Every story was different, but one thing connected us all: a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of young children.

From personal reflections, we moved on to understanding the bigger picture—exploring the ECCD System and the special laws and mandates that guide and strengthen the work of ECCD practitioners.

Because being an ECCD teacher is not just about teaching children—it’s about continuously growing ourselves so we can better support their growth.

Strong roots. Meaningful values. Growing strengths. Lifelong learning.
