What an incredible display of skill, heart, and teamwork at the MNHS Emergency Response Team (Manhert) Rescue Olympics yesterday! It was truly inspiring to see our members push their limits, sharpen their life-saving techniques, and support one another in such a high-energy, competitive environment.

We are deeply grateful for the guidance of our coordinator, Ma'am Grace G. Augis, whose mentorship continues to shape us into capable responders. This event was made possible through the initiative of Mayor Bubu C. Cumba, and we sincerely thank him for his commitment to empowering student leaders in disaster preparedness. Let’s carry this momentum forward as we continue to put our training into practice and stand ready to serve our school and communityβ€”Manhert pride!

Handang-handa para sa Balik Eskwela! 🏒✨

Earlier today at 10:00 AM, a thorough school building inspection was successfully conducted to ensure a safe, resilient, and welcoming environment for our students before classes officially begin this coming June 8 at Magallanes National High-School

This proactive safety measure was done under the guidance and leadership of our School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Adviser, Ma'am Rose Grace G. Augis. We also commend our President, Marcellus M. Leong. The efficient deployment of the student volunteer groups who meticulously checked our classrooms, laboratories, and facilities.

Thankyou to our MANHERT volunteers who showed up ready to serve. Thank you to everyone who dedicated their time today to make sure our campus is secure and ready for the new school year! πŸ’™

πŸŽ’ BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 KICK-OFF: Unified for a Safer, Ready School Year! πŸŽ’

The countdown to a brand new school year has officially begun! Yesterday marked Day 1 of Brigada Eskwela 2026 here at Magallanes National High School, and the energy from morning till afternoon was nothing short of inspiring.

We officially opened the day standing proud next to our Oplan Balik Eskwela and DepEd Brigada banners, welcoming volunteers, student leaders, and the community. As part of the SDRRM, our mission today wasn’t just about cleaning upβ€”it was about ensuring safety, setting up our first aid stations, and being ready to assist everyone under the blazing sun.

From managing the entrance gates, to setting up water stations to keep everyone hydrated during the afternoon heat, everyone put in the work. It takes a village to prepare a school, and seeing the smiles, the peace signs during quick breaks, and the pure bayanihan spirit makes all the sweat worth it.

Vacation is officially over, and school enrollment is just around the corner! πŸŽ’βœ¨

As the lazy days of summer come to a close, it’s time to switch gears and look forward to a brand-new school year. But before the classrooms fill up and enrollment officially begins, we are hitting the ground running!

MANHERT Officers and members took some time this week to refresh, bond, and build up our teamwork because we have a big mission ahead. From June 1-5, we will be rolling up our sleeves for Brigada Eskwela! A clean, safe, and welcoming school starts with us, and we are ready to put in the work.

Let's bring back that bayanihan spirit, MNHS!
Who is ready to come back stronger this school year? See you all very soon! πŸ› οΈπŸ’™πŸ«

El Niño Alert issued ⚠️

DOST-PAGASA has officially raised its ENSO Alert and Warning System to El NiΓ±o Alert, following the high likelihood of its development in the coming months and possible persistence into early 2027. This may bring drier-than-usual conditions, including dry spells and droughts in parts of the country.

However, above-normal rainfall may still be experienced over the western sections during the Habagat season.

Dearest Ma’am Rose Grace G. Augis,
On behalf of the entire Magallanes National High School Emergency Response Team, we want to wish you the most wonderful and blessed birthday. Today is not just a celebration of the day you were born, but a day to recognize the incredible impact you have on our lives and our school community.
As our SDRRM adviser, you are the steady hand that guides us through every drill, every preparation, and every challenge we face. You have taught us that being part of an emergency response team is about more than just wearing a uniform or knowing first aid; it is about heart, readiness, and an unwavering commitment to the safety of others. Your leadership goes far beyond the protocolsβ€”you lead with a kind of grace and patience that inspires all of us to be better, more responsible students and citizens.
Thank you for the countless hours you spend planning, the energy you pour into our training, and the genuine care you show for every member of this team. You have mentored us to remain calm in the face of chaos and to always look out for one another. We truly appreciate how you balance being a strict and professional mentor with being a supportive and approachable figure we can always turn to.
As you celebrate your special day, we hope you take a moment to realize how much you are loved and respected. May your year ahead be filled with safety, good health, and the same joy you bring to our team every day. You deserve all the happiness in the world for the selfless work you do for MNHS.
Happy, Happy Birthday, Ma’am Rose! We are so proud to be your Emergency Response Team, and we will always be here to support you, just as you have always been there for us.πŸ’—πŸŽ‰
