💙 Empowering Every Ability: MAINIT CELEBRATES the 48th NATIONAL DISABILITY RIGHTS WEEK 💙

The Mainit Primary Care Facility, led by Dr. Jesie U. Aguilera, proudly joined the Local Government Unit of Mainit in celebrating the 48th National Disability Rights Week Culmination today July 30, 2026 at Pijanga Hall, Kasili Lakeside Resort, Mainit, Surigao del Norte.

Anchored on the theme, "Rights First, Legislation Forward – Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development," the event gathered Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) from across the municipality in a meaningful celebration of inclusion, dignity and equal opportunities.

As part of the celebration, the Mainit PCF conducted a Medical Mission, providing free medical consultations, medicines, PhilHealth profiling and laboratory services to our fellow Mainitnon PWDs. We were also honored by the presence of Sir Roy Roland Kho, PT II from the DOH Provincial Office, whose support further strengthened our commitment to accessible and people-centered healthcare.

Together, we continue to build a healthier, more inclusive Mainit—where every individual is valued, empowered, and given the opportunity to thrive. Because disability rights are human rights, and inclusion begins with all of us. 💙♿

💙 MAINIT STANDS UNITED for a DRUG- FREE WORKPLACE! 💙

July 27, 2026 | The Municipality of Mainit Local Government Unit of Mainit successfully conducted the DRUG- FREE WORKPLACE POLICY, A yearly commitment and vow in Sustaining the Drug- Free Workplaces at the Municipal Multi-Purpose Gymnasium and Balay Silangan, facilitated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) under the leadership and presence of Dr. Wenifredo Alagabia, Jr., Provincial Director, together with the PDEA team.

This significant initiative was made possible through the leadership of MADAC Chairperson Hon. Mayor Ramon B. Mondano, with the full support of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council, the Mainit Municipal Police Station Pnp Mainit Mps led by PCPT Aireen D. Viador, with the total support of the MLGOO Ms. Welivie C. Diola and the Mainit Primary Care Facility headed by Dr. Jesie U. Aguilera, alongside the dedicated NHWSS/HRH nurses and midwives.

A total of 250 participants, composed of LGU officials, Sangguniang Bayan members, Job Order, Casual, and Regular employees—particularly male personnel—underwent orientation and drug testing, reaffirming the municipality's commitment to promoting a safe, healthy and drug-free working environment.

Together, we build a healthier workforce and a stronger, drug-free Mainit! 💪🇵🇭

One of the diseases that can be transmitted through mosquito bites is Japanese Encephalitis (JE). It is caused by a virus that primarily affects the brain, leading to inflammation. While many people who get infected may only experience mild or no symptoms, in severe cases it can result in high fever, seizures, confusion, paralysis, or even long-term neurological complications. In rare but serious instances, it can be life-threatening.
The best way to protect yourself is by avoiding mosquito bites—use mosquito nets, repellents, and wear protective clothing, especially in areas where JE is common.
