Nutri Ganap: LGU Maitum Supports a Healthier Workplace! 🥤💚

As part of its commitment to promoting the health and well-being of its workforce and the community, the Sangguniang Bayan of Maitum approved Resolution No. 2026-131, sponsored by Hon. Nelson M. Merculio, Chairperson of the Committee on Health and Sanitation. The resolution was subsequently approved and signed by Mayor James Mark B. Reganit on July 6, 2026.

Resolution No. 2026-131
"A Resolution Encouraging All Officials and Employees of the Municipal Government of Maitum, as well as Food Establishments, Canteens, and Concessionaires Operating Within Municipal Government Premises, to Refrain from the Consumption, Serving, and Sale of Carbonated Drinks and Sugar-Sweetened Beverages, and to Promote Healthier Beverage Options During Government Activities and Within LGU-Controlled Premises."

This significant policy demonstrates LGU Maitum's commitment to creating a healthy workplace by encouraging healthier beverage choices, reducing the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages, and promoting wellness in all government activities and LGU-controlled premises.

Together, let us make healthy choices every day as we build a healthier, more productive, and more resilient Maitum.

NUTRI-GANAP: Nutri Zumba para sa Maitumians

As part of the 52nd Nutrition Month Celebration, the Local Government Unit of Maitum successfully conducted Nutri Zumba para sa Maitumians, bringing together LGU employees for an afternoon of fun, fitness, and wellness.

The activity was graced by Municipal Mayor Mayor James Basquinez Reganit , whose presence highlighted the local government’s commitment to promoting the health and well-being of its employees. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our energetic Zumba instructor, Sir Alex Ternal, for leading an engaging and enjoyable workout session, and to all LGU employees who actively participated and made the event a success.

In his message, Mayor Reganit reaffirmed his full support for wellness activities that encourage employees to adopt healthier lifestyles. He emphasized that maintaining good health through regular physical activity not only improves overall well-being but also enables employees to become more productive, energized, and effective in delivering quality public service.

The Nutri Zumba session served as a reminder that investing in our health is just as important as fulfilling our daily responsibilities. Through movement, camaraderie, and positive energy, participants were encouraged to embrace active living as part of a healthy lifestyle.

This meaningful initiative reminds us that planting fruit trees is an investment in healthier communities and a greener future. Beyond providing nutritious food, these trees help protect our environment, improve air quality, and contribute to sustainable livelihoods for generations to come.
