Together with the PSOPRS ( Philippine Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery ) surgical mission team, we spent Three meaningful days at Cagayan Valley Medical Center, where we were able to help 24 patients with conditions ranging from eyelid malposition and reconstruction to tumors and blocked nasolacrimal ducts. Behind every case was a patient who placed their trust in us—and that is always something we never take for granted.
Our deep gratitude goes out to the Department of Ophthalmology, Cagayan Valley Medical Center. From the moment we landed, they took us under their wing, making sure we had everything we needed and assisting us every step of the way during the mission.
And after long days in the OR, they reminded us to pause and enjoy the beauty around us—exploring the magnificent Callao Caves and ending one afternoon with a chillaxing river trip.
Service has a way of bringing people together. We came to Cagayan Valley hoping to help, but we also left with new friendships, wonderful memories, and hearts filled with gratitude.
Thank you to the patients who trusted us, to our hosts who welcomed us so warmly, and to everyone who made this mission possible.
Until next time, Cagayan Valley. We will surely be back!
