You can do everything “right” but if your hormones are off, you may still not feel like yourself.

Hormones are one of the foundations of optimal health.

You can eat clean.
Exercise regularly.
Take your supplements.
Prioritize sleep.
Track your glucose.
Do all the latest biohacking and longevity strategies.

Your conventional laboratory test results may even show up as normal.

But if your hormones are significantly fluctuating or out of balance, especially during perimenopause, it can still feel incredibly difficult to get out of the “funk” you’re experiencing.

Why?

Because hormones are not just about your period or fertility. They are chemical messengers that influence almost every system in your body.

Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, Thyroid hormones, Cortisol, and Insulin all interact with your: brain, metabolism, muscles, bones, heart, sleep, mood, energy.

And sometimes the answer isn't to eat less, exercise harder or add another supplement.

Biohacking works best when the foundation is working too.

Optimal health isn't about chasing numbers. It's about understanding and restoring the physiology that helps you function at your best.

When asked what she is most proud of, Jonalyn Lim’s answer is simple: the woman she has become.

Not because of a title or an accomplishment, but because she has learned to navigate life’s many seasons with courage, resilience, grace, and gratitude.

As a businesswoman, Jonalyn understands what it means to carry responsibility and to constantly show up for others. But over the years, she has also learned an equally important lesson: taking care of yourself is what allows you to continue giving your best to the people who matter to you.

Her health journey has taught her to listen more closely to her body and to understand that, as women move through different stages of life, our bodies change and our health needs change with them.

Perhaps one of the most valuable things we can do for ourselves is to recognize when we no longer feel like ourselves and care enough to understand why.

And as Jonalyn has come to realize, when you take better care of yourself, you are also better able to care for, lead, and be present for the people whose lives matter most to you.

Perimenopause? Hot flashes? Unpredictable periods? Convinced pregnancy is officially off the table?

Not so fast, wait a minute! 🫣

As long as your body is still releasing an egg, even occasionally, and even on a schedule only your ovaries understand—PREGNANCY IS STILL POSSIBLE.

Yes, even in your mid-to-late 40s. And yes, even while you’re already discussing hormone replacement therapy.

Hot flashes and ovulation don’t share the same finish line. Menopause is only confirmed after 12 consecutive months without a period. Until then, ovulation can still happen unexpectedly.

So if pregnancy isn’t part of your plan, contraception should still be.

Understanding your body during perimenopause is about having the knowledge to make informed, confident choices.

When women understand what’s happening in their bodies, they get more than answers, they gain the power to meet themselves with compassion.

For Pat, that knowledge helped her recognize that the changes in her mood and emotions weren’t personal failings. They were signals from a body moving through change. With the right care, she found her balance again not only for herself, but for the people she loves.

And when the time comes for her daughter to navigate hormonal changes of her own, Pat can be there with empathy, reassurance, and wisdom. Because an informed woman can help the next generation replace confusion and shame with quiet confidence and understanding.

This is why women’s health matters. When a woman feels heard, supported, and empowered in her own body, she is better equipped to care for herself and to show up fully for her family and loved ones.

All women will go through hormonal changes. But there’s a choice to go through it gracefully.

Your hormones do more than regulate your reproductive health.

They influence how you feel every day, from your energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, muscle strength, and mental clarity to your libido and overall well-being.

When hormone levels begin to decline or become imbalanced, your body often lets you know.

Fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, poor sleep, mood changes, etc. are only some of the common signs.

Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) uses hormones that are chemically identical to those naturally produced by your body. Its purpose is to restore hormones that are no longer being produced in sufficient amounts.

Because no two people have the same hormone profile, BHRT is never one-size-fits-all. Treatment is personalized based on your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and laboratory findings.

The goal isn't simply to replace hormones but to restore balance, helping your body function the way it was designed to so you can have better energy, clearer thinking, restful sleep, improved strength, a healthier metabolism, and an overall better quality of life.

If you've been feeling "off" and can't quite explain why, it may be worth exploring whether your hormones are part of the picture.

Like so many women, Pinky never imagined that menopause could be the reason behind everything she was feeling.

When symptoms such as mood shifts, brain fog, and countless others began affecting her work, her relationships, and her everyday life, she chose to seek answers instead of simply pushing through.

Through comprehensive consultations, diagnostic testing, customized supplement protocols, dedicated support from a patient care specialist, and thoughtful conversations at CORE Clinic, she finally understood what was happening in her body and, more importantly, realized that she wasn't alone.

Menopause is not something you simply have to endure.

Understanding your body is the first step toward feeling like yourself again.

As Pinky shares, what made the biggest difference wasn't just receiving a treatment plan, it was feeling genuinely heard, understood, and cared for every step of the way.

Every woman deserves to feel empowered, supported, and confident through every stage of life.

More snippets from Dr. Sheree Bondoc’s conversation on perimenopause, and why hormones matter more than most women realize.

As Dr. Sheree shares in the episode: hormones act like instructions, telling different organs in the body what to do. When those signals begin to shift, women may start noticing changes in sleep, mood, energy, focus, and overall well-being.

At The Core Clinic, we’ve long believed that PCOS is far more than an ovarian condition. It is a deeper hormonal and metabolic imbalance that can affect the entire body.

Beyond irregular cycles and fertility concerns, PCOS may influence insulin resistance, inflammation, skin health, weight regulation, mood, energy, and long-term metabolic wellness.

This understanding is now gaining wider recognition. A recent international consensus proposed renaming PCOS to “Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS)” to better reflect its multisystem nature.

For us, this shift matters because women deserve care that looks beyond isolated symptoms — and conversations that address the root causes driving them.

Perimenopause is something a lot of women go through quietly, and often without really knowing what’s happening.

Dr. Sheree Bondoc joins this episode of Wellness is Wealth to talk about the changes that come with it: what to expect, what’s normal, and when it’s worth paying closer attention.

A conversation that makes things a little clearer, especially if you’ve been second-guessing what your body’s been trying to tell you.

Feeling unmotivated or mentally drained isn’t always a question of discipline.

Dopamine plays a key role in how the brain regulates motivation, reward, movement, and focus. When its signaling becomes dysregulated, the effects can show up as low drive, difficulty concentrating, or changes in mood and energy.

At The Core Clinic, we look beyond isolated symptoms and consider the broader systems shaping brain chemistry — including sleep, stress, inflammation, nutrition, and environmental exposures.

Supporting these foundations can help restore balance where it matters most.
