Moyamoya is an underdiagnosed disease here in the Philippines. From seizure episodes to psychiatric-like symptoms, Moyamoya patient Tristan Ramos experienced them all until he was diagnosed with Moyamoya and underwent two (2) brain bypass surgeries at MakatiMed.

While a breast self-check cannot diagnose breast cancer, recognizing changes such as a new lump, swelling, skin dimpling, ni**le changes, or unusual discharge, can help with early detection and care management.

Breast awareness should also be paired with appropriate screening. Mammography is an important screening tool for detecting breast cancer early, while Breast Ultrasound may be recommended as an additional or diagnostic examination depending on your age, breast tissue, symptoms, and individual risk.
