Ilang beses mo na bang narinig yan?
Maraming scoliosis warriors ang naniniwala na ang scoliosis mismo ang dahilan kung bakit sila payat. Pero totoo nga ba? 🤔

Sa vlog na ito, pag-uusapan natin ang katotohanan behind this common belief. 🎥

Ang scoliosis mismo ay hindi direktang dahilan ng pagiging payat. Marami pong may scoliosis na normal ang timbang 💪, at meron ding mas mabigat. Pero bakit may ilang patients na mukhang payat?

Possible reasons include:
✨ Poor posture and visible deformity that can make the body appear thinner
✨ Back pain that affects movement and appetite
✨ Changes in metabolism, especially if the scoliosis is connected to neuromuscular conditions

Pero tandaan — these are only possible factors, not direct effects of scoliosis itself. 🙏

Ever wondered why one side of the back looks higher or has a “hump” in scoliosis? 🤔

In my latest vlog, I break it down in a simple, easy-to-understand way.

Scoliosis isn’t just a side-to-side curve—it’s actually a 3D spinal deformity. That means the spine curves sideways, rotates, and changes its natural alignment. And here’s the key:
👉 That rotation (called axial rotation) is what causes the visible hump on one side of the back.

I also explain how we check for this:
✔️ Using the Adam’s Forward Bending Test
✔️ Measuring with a scoliometer
✔️ If the reading is more than 5°, there’s a high chance scoliosis is present

Understanding this early can make a big difference in preventing progression and improving posture.
