MY SATURDAY — RAIN OR SHINE! ❤️

A rainy Saturday… but definitely not a quiet one! ☔️

⏰ 4:30 AM — Woke up, changed into my dark blue scrubs, and got ready for another day of doing what I love.

🍞 4:50 AM — Breakfast with hubby: one piece of toast with strawberry jam + one boiled egg. Simple but enough to fuel the day! ❤️

🚗 5:10 AM — Off to catch my 6:00 AM surgery.

🩺 6:20–7:50 AM
Total abdominal hysterectomy

Then straight to clinic…

👩‍⚕️ 8:10 AM–1:20 PM — CLINIC DAY

A beautiful mix of women at different stages of life:

🤰 Prenatal checkups
🧓 Postmenopausal women following up their myomas
🌸 Perimenopausal women for regular checkups
👱‍♀️ Adolescents with irregular me**es
🩸 Women with abnormal uterine bleeding needing medical treatment
👩 Women in their childbearing years for regular checkups
🩺 Post-operative patients for follow-up

Every woman has a different story, a different concern, and a different chapter in her life. And I am grateful to be part of their journey. ❤️

🚗 2:30 PM — Finally headed home…
😴 A little respite and a short nap in the car!

🍰 4:00 PM — Simple snack with hubby: banana cake and a little time together. ❤️

But the day wasn’t over yet…

‼️ 4:30 PM — EMERGENCY CALL!

A hypertensive pregnant patient was in labor. 🤰

🚗 5:05 PM — Back on the road, en route to MMC for an emergency cesarean section.

⏱️ 6:12 PM — Anesthesia induced
⏱️ 6:16 PM — Incision started
👶 6:18 PM — BABY OUT! ❤️
⏱️ 6:45 PM — Cesarean section completed

And finally…

🌧️ 7:20 PM — Heading home.
Still raining. ☔️☔️☔️

Tired? YES.
Fulfilled? ABSOLUTELY. ❤️

Because at the end of the day, I am reminded why I continue to do what I do:

“Love what you do. Do it because it makes you happy.”

And for me…

RAIN OR SHINE — I LOVE IT ALL! ❤️☔️👩‍⚕️

Thank you to my devoted and supportive husband for taking me to and from MMC to answer my emergency call . 🫶🫶🫶

When the cervix of a pregnant woman is weak, and it starts to open early without pain or contractions, a cervical cerclage is done. Like in the case of Mom V., a surgery was done wherein the cervix was shut with a strong stitch to prevent early birth or miscarriage. Know more through this art card.

Pregnancy -- a Journey of Hope

Not all pregnancies are alike.

Some pregnancies are straightforward, while others test every ounce of an OBGYN's knowledge, judgment, patience, and the work of her hands.

I remain grateful for the challenging cases that remind me why I chose this profession.

Meet Mom V.

At 34 years old, she came to me carrying not only a pregnancy but also the pain of two heartbreaking pregnancy losses.

• First pregnancy: ended in an early miscarriage.
• Second pregnancy: she developed a pr*****ed bag of waters at 30 weeks. Despite 23 days of hospitalization and every effort to save the baby, it ended in fetal demise.

She was diagnosed with cervical incompetence.

When she conceived for the third time, her greatest wish was simple—to finally bring home a living baby.

At four months of pregnancy, she underwent a cervical cerclage. She faithfully remained on bed rest throughout much of her pregnancy. Along the way, she also developed gestational diabetes, requiring even closer monitoring and meticulous prenatal care.

At 34 weeks, while the cerclage was still in place, she delivered by cesarean section to a beautiful baby girl weighing 4 pounds 2 ounces.

Today, 12 years later, Baby A is no longer a little girl but a wonderful young adolescent—smart, confident, kind, and deeply loved.

Moments like these remind me that medicine is both a science and a calling. We do our very best with the knowledge and skills entrusted to us, but ultimately, every new life is a gift.

Truly, God’s work through my hands. 🙏❤️ To God be all the praise and glory!!

This is a full woman’s life cycle that she goes through. Each phase carrying a certain experience – so each one must be mindful and fully understand the complexities of her life cycle from infancy to adolescence, through childbearing years, through menopause and healthy aging. Can you identify where you are in this life cycle? WHAT IS YOUR STORY?

16/07/2026

Even as we try to defy our age, the hands of time continue to tick away.

So, to the young…
Don’t be in such a hurry to grow old.
Instead, count your days with purpose. Live fully. Dream boldly. Enjoy the season of life you’re in, because every stage has its own beauty.

And to the young once…
Age is not what defines us.
It is how we live each day—with gratitude, purpose, grace, and joy—that truly counts.

Don’t just add years to your life… add life to your years.”Growing older is inevitable. Growing wiser is a choice. Growing with grace is a gift we give ourselves.”
