What is PQF now seen on our PRC ID?
The Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) is the Philippines' national system for classifying educational qualifications and competency levels. It helps ensure that learning, skills, and qualifications are recognized consistently across education, training, and employment.
Its main purposes are to:
1. Standardize qualifications across the country.
2. Help employers understand what a graduate or worker is qualified to do.
3. Support lifelong learning by recognizing formal, non-formal, and informal learning.
4.Make Philippine qualifications more comparable with those of other countries.
The PQF has 8 qualification levels:
Level 1 – Basic knowledge and routine work.
Level 2 – Limited responsibility with some technical skills.
Level 3 – Skilled work requiring judgment and technical competence.
Level 4 – National Certificate IV or equivalent; supervisory and specialized technical work.
Level 5 – Diploma.
Level 6 – Bachelor's degree.
Level 7 – Postgraduate Diploma or Master's degree.
Level 8 – Doctoral degree and equivalent.
At NexTech Training Center, we believe that quality learning begins with understanding national standards. By aligning professional development with recognized frameworks such as the PQF, we empower individuals and organizations to become Forward. Focused. Future Ready.
