Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who took part in this year’s mission. Amazing to see how fast the surgeons worked, the skilled hands, and unwavering dedication.
We are deeply grateful for the incredible work of all the 40 veterinarians and vet assistants, including our surgeons, pre-op veterinarians, and post-op care team.who traveled from Malay, Aklan, Dumagete, Metro Manila, and other parts of Luzon.
They all took time off from their busy schedules to come here and give free surgeries and care to our Dogs and Cats in Boracay and Malay.
We would like to give special thanks to the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) and the Philippine Animal Hospital Association (PAHA) for once again adopting and supporting our mission, what an incredible team you have. This year, everything was more organized, coordinated, and efficient. We had a great combination of pre-anesthetic assessment, anesthesia, and pain management, helping us provide safer and better care for every patient. Seeing it all come together so smoothly was a testament to the passion and professionalism of every single person involved. We are so grateful to have you all be a part of our 5th year Boracay Vet mission.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Deyven N. Oriondo, our Vet mission founding partner from the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist of Malay, Aklan, and Dr. Ma. Cyrosa Leen Mabel C. Siñel from the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian in Kalibo, for always standing by us each year. A special thank you to Dr. Mitzi Padrinao who has provided guidance and help to us in the Vet mission admin group through out the whole year for logistics and improvements of our mission.
To the Boracay and Malay Agriculture Office teams, thank you for your tireless work, setting up venues from dawn to dusk alongside our mission volunteers. Your energy and commitment were vital to making this mission run smoothly.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Aquilla & Rica, whose behind-the-scenes administrative support helped hold everything together. We truly could not have done this without you.
We would also want to thank our tireless daily volunteers, Maria Tan & Elena Lazzaroni, for your daily presence out in the field, reliability, and big hearts throughout the mission.
Our sincerest thanks also go out to Barangay Manoc Manoc, Barangay Balabag, Barangay Yapak and LGU Malay, for their support and cooperation during the event.
To Diniview Villa Resort, Thank you for generously hosting our veterinarians and veterinary assistants throughout the mission and giving them breakfast before their day starts, and to Dinibeach bar & Restaurant for hosting the fun after party for our veterinarians and vet assistance, who knew we had dancing queens among us!
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our food sponsors: Lemoni Café & Restaurant, DiniBeach Bar and Restaurant, Diniview Villa Resort, Azalea Hotel & Residences, Levantin Boracay, The Sunny Side Café, Percy’s Seafood, SpiceBird, Cathy’s Bistro, Aria Cucina Italiana, True Home Bistro, Maya's Filipino & Mexican Cuisine & The Pig Out Bistro, Shangri-La Boracay, Astrophel Tabanera PCTV, Hue Hotel, Mahaw Ta, Exit Bar & Calma Cafe, for feeding and providing drinks our teams so well and with so much care.
We are grateful to Boracay Water for providing clean drinking water for everyone, and to the Philippine Red Cross Boracay-Malay Chapter for ensuring our safety throughout the event.
All the transportation would not have been possible without the help of My Boracay Guide, Southwest Tours and the diniwid e-trike community headed by Jay and Enzo, who ensured our veterinary teams were transported safely and efficiently between mission stations and the airports in Kalibo and Caticlan.
Thank you to all our Welcome Bag sponsors; WD Customs, Taragala Souvenirs, B.A.A.R.C. Tali Macrame, Ralph’s Place, Tirta Spa, Sur, The Strand, Starbucks, E.P.I.C., 19th Hole, Barkada and Exit Brew
We are incredibly thankful to the Boracay community and to friends from near and far whose support made everything possible. Your generosity and compassion are the reason this mission exists.— SB Alan Palma, SB Grengo Gelito, Ralph’s Place, Here and Now, Villa Caemilla, BFI, Philippine Chamber of Commerce- Boracay, Boracay Adventures, Marahuyo Siargao, Ana-as Apartelle, Lucky Tito, Smooth, Nonie’s Seabird, Nigi Nigi Nu Noos, Station X, Mango Yard, 7Stones, Daloy, Boracay Balcony Inn, Canvas Inn, BIHA, Akelco, Cafe Uno, Alta Vista as well as individual donors Maria, Rica, Candy,Helen, Rosemarie, Pat & Julie, The Boracay Sun, Asya Premier, Tom & Jessa, Bev, and so many others with no names. We especially want to thank Lucia Hubinska for her generous contribution! — thank you for making sure we had the medicine and resources to carry out the mission. Your kindness and generosity made this all possible.
To each and every one of you; thank you for four days filled with hard work, compassion, and great spirits. We hope this mission continues to move us closer to a more sustainable and effective animal welfare system for the island. By spaying and castrating animals, we help them become calmer, more content to stay at home, and less likely to roam. This simple act directly reduces the number of strays on our streets and helps build a healthier, happier environment for both people and animals in Boracay and Malay.
Thank you one and all
Love
Julia, Noa, and Aquilla
