Nasal Inhalers: Helpful or Harmful?

Nasal inhalers can provide temporary relief from a stuffy nose, but not all inhalers are meant for frequent or prolonged use.
Some decongestant nasal sprays can cause rebound congestion when overused, making your nose feel even more blocked.

Before using a nasal inhaler:
✔️ Know what’s in it
✔️ Follow the recommended directions
✔️ Avoid prolonged use of decongestant sprays
✔️ Consult an ENT specialist if nasal congestion keeps coming back

Treat the cause, not just the congestion.

Turn Down the Volume, Protect Your Hearing

Love listening with headphones? Your ears may not.
Listening to loud sounds for too long can damage the delicate structures responsible for hearing. Repeated exposure may lead to permanent hearing loss.

Protect your hearing:
🔉 Keep the volume at a safe level
⏸️ Give your ears regular breaks
🎧 Avoid prolonged exposure to loud sounds
👂 Get your hearing checked if you notice ringing, muffled hearing, or difficulty understanding speech.

Enjoy your music. Protect your hearing, too.

Cotton Buds and Your Ears: A Bad Match?

Think cotton buds keep your ears clean? Think again.
Your ears are naturally self-cleaning, and inserting cotton buds into the ear canal can:

❌ Push earwax deeper
❌ Cause irritation or infection
❌ Injure the eardrum

Skip the cotton buds and let your ears do their job. If you have excessive earwax, ear pain, hearing loss, or a blocked sensation, consult an ENT specialist.

Found a Lump in Your Neck? Don't Ignore It.

While many neck lumps are harmless, some may be signs of serious conditions—including cancers or rare soft tissue tumors.

⚠️ Seek medical evaluation if a neck lump:
✔️ Persists for more than two weeks
✔️ Continues to grow
✔️ Feels firm or fixed
✔️ Is accompanied by difficulty swallowing, voice changes, or unexplained weight loss

Every Puff Harms More Than Your Lungs

Smoking and va**ng do not only damage the lungs—they significantly affect the entire upper airway, including the nose, throat, and voice box.

Repeated exposure to smoke or v***r can lead to:
• Chronic laryngitis
• Persistent hoarseness
• Throat irritation and dryness
• Chronic cough
• Increased risk of head and neck cancers

Your voice and throat are often the first to suffer—sometimes long before serious disease develops.

Protect your airway. There is no safe level of smoking or va**ng.
