The Local Government Unit of Malungon, through the Municipal Youth Development Office (MYDO), in partnership with the Malungon Youth Peer Educators (MYPE), proudly welcomes Agnes Ng as the distinguished resource speaker for "Mental Health Symposium and Workshop" on August 4, 2026, at Malungon National High School.
Agnes Ng is a Senior Youth Worker and Manager of Community Engagement at Bethesda Care Services in Singapore, where she leads youth development initiatives, counselling, case management, and a volunteer movement of more than 1,400 youth volunteers. With over seven years of experience in Singapore's social service sector, she has dedicated her career to empowering young people, strengthening community partnerships, and promoting inclusive and sustainable social development.
Beyond her professional role, she serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Peopleโs Association Youth Movement (PAYM), Founder of RHEmind, a ground-up initiative advocating for individuals living with Young-Onset Dementia, and as a Curator and INSPIRIT Youth Leader with the National Youth Council Singapore. She also serves as an Ambassador for Caring for Life, championing youth leadership, community engagement, and social responsibility.
Agnes is an alumna fellow of the 2026 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative โ Professional Fellows Program (YSEALI-PFP) in Helena, Montana, USA, and is part of the Our Singapore Leadership Programme (OSLP) network. She earned her Bachelor of Social Sciences (Sociology, with a Minor in Psychology) from the Singapore University of Social Sciences and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Sciences, guided by her belief that meaningful and lasting change begins when communities unite to empower one another.
Through this symposium and workshop, participants will gain valuable insights into understanding mental health, recognizing common mental health challenges among adolescents, developing resilience and healthy coping strategies, and fostering a culture of empathy, help-seeking, and peer support. The activity also aims to equip students with practical knowledge and life skills that will enable them to navigate stress, build emotional well-being, and contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and mentally healthy school community.
Join us as we learn, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Together, let us create a future where every young person feels heard, supported, and empowered to thrive.
See you on August 4, 2026, at Malungon National High School!
