As the home of Mandaluyong's reputable cardiovascular institute and top-tier cardiologists, we are proud to announce that VRP Medical Center has been accredited by the Philippine Heart Association (PHA) as the only healthcare institution in Mandaluyong to conduct Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Training. Following a rigorous, multi-stage evaluation process and a comprehensive site visitation by the PHA CPR Council Committee, VRP was commended for its compliance with institutional standards dedicated to promoting resuscitation science and improving patient outcomes.
This recognition was formalized on March 26, 2026, at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel during the inaugural PHA CPR Congress, where healthcare professionals from various disciplines gathered. Accepting the recognition on behalf of the institution were BLS-ACLS Leads Dr. Paul Coronado, Dr. Ed Penserga, and Dr. Mariano Lopez, alongside VRP President Atty. Martin P. Samson, and Medical Affairs Office honorary awardee, Jane Burlas.
