How to teach a child , not to hit others ?

Comment “CRAWL” to find out what may happen when kids skip the crawling phase…

Kids who skip the crawling phase may have trouble with developing certain motor skills and visual perception needed down the road for different learning areas (like reading and writing).

Every child’s timeline is different when they learn to crawl. The important piece is that they do crawl eventually, even as an older toddler or child.

If you have a child or student who has struggled with crawling as a baby, you can still crawl with them as an older child to help them strengthen many foundational skills.

Crawling can help kids develop the following areas:

👶Spatial Awareness for spacing letters and numbers
👶Visual perception for tracking when reading
👶Head and neck strength for copying notes and sitting at a desk when in school
👶Cognitive development through cross lateral movements

There are a number of ways to help your baby, toddler and child continue crawling if this milestone was missed or delayed. To find out more on how to help your child or students with crawling, comment “CRAWL” and we’ll send you the link.

Toe walking is one of the signs telling you…

your child or students need more vestibular input! A child who struggles with toe walking often has an immature vestibular system and may need more activities that encourage:

🤸Swinging
🤸Spinning
🤸Crashing
🤸Jumping

All of these activities target the child’s vestibular system for additional input needed to help certain foundational areas of the child’s development.

Kids who struggle with vestibular input may also have a difficult time with:

😩Copying notes from the chalkboard
😩Dizziness and vertigo
😩Attention and focus in the classroom
😩Processing information

To find out what this doctor is saying about toe walking and to find out other signs that come with an underdeveloped vestibular system, leave a comment below and we’ll send you the link.

Fine motor activities help strengthen the small muscles in the hands and fingers, improving coordination, grip, and precision. These fun, everyday activities support writing, self-care, and independence while building confidence through play.

“Children don’t leap from meltdown to calm on their own. They first need the steady presence of a caring adult to co-regulate, before learning the skills of self-regulation. And when things go wrong, repair is the bridge that restores connection and trust.”
