SCIENCE CITY OF MUรOZ, Nueva Ecija โ In a major step toward expanding localized healthcare, Wundt Psychological Institute San Jose City (WPI SJC) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Science City of Muรฑoz are set to formalize a partnership aimed at strengthening accessible mental health and psychological services in the community.
On 18 May 2026, WPI SJC representatives attended a regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod to address and clarify details regarding a proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
The legislative review followed a formal request from Ms. Gabrielle Fernandez, department head of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), seeking to pass a resolution authorizing City Mayor Hon. Baby Armi L. Alvarez to enter into the agreement with the institution.
The plenary session, presided over by City Vice Mayor Hon. Nestor Lazaro Alvarez and attended by nine city councilors, concluded with the official approval of the request.
WPI was represented during the deliberation by San Jose City Branch Manager Ms. Avrille Mira Ramirez, Branch Psychometrician Ms. Franchette Louise Verona, and Marketing & Finance Officer Mr. Jash Zareno.
With the legislative hurdle cleared, this partnership is now set to finalize and sign the MOA, paving the way for accessible mental health awareness campaigns, professional psychological services, and grassroots support programs for Muรฑoz residents.
WPI extends its gratitude to the Sangguniang Panlungsod and the LGU of the Science City of Muรฑoz for the warm reception and collaboration, and looks forward to working hand-in-hand to serve the public.
