Nalalapit na ang 1st Filipino Lupus Patients' Summit, sa May 9, 8AM - 12NN (ONLINE). Libre po ang Summit na ito para sa lahat: mga pasyente, kapamilya o caregivers, kaibigan o may kakilalang mga pasyente, doktor, medical students, at allied health professional, o sinuman ang nais matuto tungkol sa Lupus.

*Plenary Speakers:
- Dr. Julie Yu (Burden of Steroid Dependence in Lupus): Steroids, tulad ng Prednisone, ang pangunahing gamot para sa Lupus, lalo na kung nagfe-flare. Ngunit alam nyo ba na madaming side effects ito?

*Panel Discussion 2 (Access, Policy & System-Level Challenges): Nakapasa na sa 3rd Reading ng Senado ang Comprehensive Lupus Prevention Act. Maliban diyan, dapat may Bill din na nakahain at makapasa sa House of Representatives upang ito ay mapirmahan ng Presidente at maging ganap na batas. Kailangan ang pagtutulungan ng iba't ibang sektor (government, mga doctor, pharmaceutical industry, at patient-advocate groups) upang masakatuparan ang mas maayos na pangangalaga sa Lupus.

Meet DR. LEONID ZAMORA, one of the speakers on 1st Filipino Lupus Patients' Summit.
Dr. Leonid Zamora is a rheumatologist specializing in systemic autoimmune diseases with strong focus on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). He is currently a professor in UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, as well as UST Hospital Section of Rheumatology training officer.
Dr. Leonid is a Board of Trustee of Philippine Rheumatology Association, and a member of different organizations' special interest group on SLE, establishing his commitment for Lupus care. As a clinician, educator and researcher, he integrates lupus research with medical education, advancing both patient care and training of future physicians.
