Dry needling is a therapeutic technique where a trained physical therapist or doctor inserts thin, sterile stainless-steel needles directly into muscles or fascia. The goal is to stimulate specific trigger points to release muscle tension, alleviate pain, and improve range of motion.

How It WorksTrigger Points: The therapist locates hyperirritable spots or tight bands within the muscle Inserting the needle directly into these trigger points often causes a "local twitch response," a brief, involuntary muscle contraction that signals the release of tension.The micro-lesion created by the needle increases blood flow to the area and stimulates the body's natural healing process.
