SLH - Department of Family and Community Medicine The department started in 2007, when the SLH started departmentalization and acquired the accreditation by the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Inc.

(PAFP) in 2009 making it the 1st DOH Hospital in Luzon with an accredited FM program.

“See Clearly, Live Fully: Promoting Early Screening and Better Eye Health”

Sa pagdiriwang ng Sight Saving Month, sama-sama nating bigyang-halaga ang kalusugan ng ating mga mata. 👀✨
Ang malinaw na paningin ay mahalaga sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay. Kaya naman, alagaan ang ating mga mata, magpasuri nang regular, at huwag balewalain ang anumang pagbabago sa paningin.

Bilang bahagi ng Department of Family and Community Medicine ng San Lazaro Hospital, patuloy kaming nakikiisa sa Department of Health (DOH) sa pagsusulong ng kamalayan at pangangalaga sa kalusugan ng mata.

Ngayong World TB Day, sama-sama nating palawakin ang kaalaman at kamalayan tungkol sa Tuberculosis (TB). Sa pamamagitan ng tamang impormasyon, maagap na pagpapatingin, at tuloy-tuloy na gamutan, makakamit natin ang isang komunidad na mas ligtas mula sa TB.

Ang San Lazaro Hospital-Department of Family and Community Medicine ay kaisa sa pagsusulong ng TB awareness at sa pagbibigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng early detection, proper treatment, at prevention.

Ingatan ang Baga, Alagaan ang Kalusugan 🫁💚

Ngayong National Lung Month, sama-sama nating palakasin ang kamalayan tungkol sa kahalagahan ng pangangalaga sa ating baga.

Ang San Lazaro Hospital-Department of Family and Community Medicine ay nakikiisa sa pagsusulong ng kaalaman, pag-iwas sa sakit sa baga, at maagang pagpapatingin upang mapanatiling malusog ang bawat pamilya at komunidad.

🫁 Huminga nang maluwag. Kumilos para sa kalusugan.
Dahil ang malusog na baga ay mahalaga sa malusog na buhay.

Ngayong National Family Planning Month, kaisa ang San Lazaro Hospital-Department of Family and Community Medicine sa pagsusulong ng tamang kaalaman at responsableng pagpaplano ng pamilya. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💚

Ang Family Planning ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagpili ng paraan ng kontrasepsyon. Ito ay tungkol sa pagbibigay sa bawat indibidwal at mag-asawa ng kalayaan, tamang impormasyon, at pagkakataong makapagdesisyon para sa kanilang kalusugan, pamilya, at kinabukasan.

Naniniwala kami na ang pangangalaga sa kalusugan ay nagsisimula sa pakikinig sa bawat pamilya—sa kanilang mga pangangailangan, pangarap, paniniwala, at mga plano sa buhay. 🤝

In celebration of the National Hospital Week this 2026, the Department of Family and Community Medicine of San Lazaro Hospital proudly brought healthcare closer to the community through a Medical-Dental Mission held at Brgy. 375 Barangay Hall, Aurora Blvd., Sta. Cruz, Manila, on August 5, 2026.

With this year’s theme, “Juan Health for JuaNATION: Makabagong Teknolohiya sa Ospital na Mapagkalinga,” we came together with one shared commitment—to provide accessible, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare to the community we serve. ❤️

The activity featured medical and dental consultations, health screening, medicines, oral health services, and health education, empowering our community with knowledge and quality care.

Ngayong Dengue Awareness Month, sama-sama nating palakasin ang kamalayan at pagkilos laban sa dengue. Ang simpleng paglilinis ng ating kapaligiran at pag-aalis ng mga pinamumugaran ng lamok ay malaking hakbang upang maprotektahan ang ating pamilya at komunidad.

Ang pag-iwas ay nagsisimula sa bawat isa sa atin. Maging mapagmatyag, panatilihing malinis ang kapaligiran, at sama-sama nating sugpuin ang dengue.
