As someone who values health, I volunteered to provide free prescriptions to those who needed them.
Why?

Nobody wanted to be in that situation. No one planned to wade through floodwaters or put themselves at risk. But when people find themselves in difficult circumstances, sometimes all they need is someone willing to extend a helping hand.

For floodwater exposure, preventive medication is most effective when started within the recommended window period. If access to the medication is delayed just because someone cannot readily reach a healthcare provider, the opportunity for timely prevention may be missed, increasing the risk of leptospirosis and its complications.
