Celebrating World Lung Day 2026 with Zumbaga!

What better way to celebrate World Lung Day than by getting our hearts pumping, our bodies moving, and our lungs breathing to the beat? 💃🕺🫁

The Pulmonary Medicine Fellows of Manila Doctors Hospital joined the Philippine College of Chest Physicians (PCCP) for Zumbaga 2026 at the University of the Philippines Diliman!

Zumbaga 2026 brought together physicians, pulmonologist, healthcare professionals, and health advocates in a fun-filled celebration that emphasized the importance of physical activity, exercise, and an active lifestyle in promoting lung and overall health. 💪

Because healthy lungs aren’t just about treating disease—they’re also about moving more, breathing better, and living healthier! 🌿🫁

The Manila Doctors Hospital Section of Pulmonary Medicine and Department of Internal Medicine successfully conducted an Inhaler Workshop and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Promotion led by our speaker Dr Albert Yap and Pulmo fellows in-training during the COMET Conference at the MDH Penthouse held last June 8,2026.

The session highlighted understanding of proper inhaler techniques, optimize medication delivery, and the importance of pulmonary rehabilitation in improving quality of life among patients with chronic respiratory diseases.

Together, let’s continue to promote excellence in respiratory care through education, prevention, and patient empowerment.

💙 World Asthma Day 2026 | Asthma Lay Forum 💙

The MDH Section of Pulmonary Medicine together with our Pulmonary Fellows-in-Training and Dr Faye Listanco successfully conducted an Asthma Lay Forum at the Manila Doctors Hospital OPD Area in celebration of World Asthma Day.

Patients and community members were able to learn more about asthma awareness, prevention, proper inhaler technique, and asthma control through interactive lectures and demonstrations.

Free portable spirometry readings were also provided to our OPD patients as part of our commitment to promoting better respiratory health and early detection of lung disease.

Thank you to everyone who joined and supported this meaningful activity. Together, let us continue to raise awareness and empower our patients to breathe better and live better.
