How ESWL (Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy) works?

- It uses high-energy shock (pressure) waves to break up stones.
- These waves are aimed at kidney stones to break them into smaller pieces by using robust and focused energy waves to shatter the stones.
- Tiny pieces of the stones can then move through your urinary tract and out of your body more easily.
- Kidney stones are rock-like masses that form when you have high levels of certain substances in your urine.
