Dr. Virgil Lo earned his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery; and finished his residency in Internal Medicine at Makati Medical Center in 2015. He then underwent

further training in Obesity Medicine & Bariatric Endoscopy at China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan in 2023 and Advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound at Midas Hospital, India in 2025. During his fellowship, he has received numerous awards both locally and internationally. He holds the record as the first ever and only Fellow to earn Best Researches from all three National GI Societies (Philippine Society of Gastroenterology, Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy and Hepatology Society of the Philippines) in the same academic year. In 2021, he was recognized as one of the Most Outstanding P*P Researchers by the Philippine College of Physicians. Dr. Lo is passionate and dedicated to excellence in Gastroenterology and hopes to contribute to the advancement of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy in the Philippines.

CLARITY! 👁️

Weeks of enduring so many ups and downs when it comes to stomach issues.. and was even admitted because of dehydration due to severe diarrhea, stomach pains, years of having acid reflux and the likes.. and suffered so much anxiety and panic attacks due to what I am experiencing. Did so many treatments but nothing works…

Decided to see Dr Dr. Virgil Lo "pinoygastro" - Gastroenterologist & Obesity Medicine… I arrived very late and he had just finished his last procedure pero he still accommodated me last monday and was easily scheduled for Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.. with that I am super thankful. 🙏

Finally, today nabigyan din ng clarity lahat. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr Lo and all staffs and nurses of CGH. Now, I have clearer picture of what my condition is and is being given proper treatment plan. Praying for a favorable biopsy results in 3 weeks. But what matters most is alam na kung anong meron ako🥺❤️

Health anxiety no more! 💜

I was very nervous about my procedure yesterday , 🥹but Dr. Virgilio Lo was wonderful. They have a calm, warm, and reassuring presence that put me at ease. The entire staff was professional and made me feel safe and cared for.
