What started as a “simple cataract” had already progressed into something more serious — phacomorphic glaucoma, where a swollen mature cataract causes dangerously high eye pressure that can lead to permanent vision loss if left untreated.

Thankfully, with timely intervention and successful cataract surgery, the pressure was controlled and vision was restored.

Cases like this are a reminder that delaying cataract treatment can sometimes lead to emergencies, but early consultation and proper management can still lead to life-changing outcomes. 🙏

A subconjunctival hemorrhage happens when a tiny blood vessel breaks beneath the conjunctiva (the clear surface of the eye), causing a bright red patch.

While it may look serious, it is usually harmless, painless, and resolves on its own within days to weeks.

Most cases don’t require treatment, but proper evaluation is still important to be sure. ✅
