Currently, Dr. Simpao is an ophthalmology consultant at several clinics and hospitals in Pampanga and Manila, Philippines.

He experienced progressively worsening esotropia (duling) and diplopia (doble ang nakikita) over the past 5 years, which did not improve with glasses or any other treatment. Before surgery, he had approximately 90 prism diopters (PD) of esotropia. After undergoing strabismus surgery, he achieved a remarkable improvement in both his eye alignment and double vision. 👁️

Today, I had the privilege of delivering a lecture on Heavy Eye Syndrome and Sagging Eye Syndrome during the Chinese General Hospital Department of Ophthalmology Monthly Conference.

A 32-year-old female with long-standing intermittent exotropia (banlag) and poor control (first photo). The second photo was taken 1 week after strabismus surgery, showing an orthophoric eye alignment—gumitna na po ang mata.

👁️ We are now offering Strabismus Surgery (Banlag at Duling) in the City of San Fernando and throughout the Second District of Pampanga.

I just saw this post trending on Threads. If you are diabetic or if one of your loved ones has diabetes, kindly have an eye check-up (fundus exam) with an ophthalmologist.

Recently, I have been seeing a lot of patients, especially younger ones, going blind due to diabetic retinopathy.

Last April 25, 2026, we delivered two lectures on the optic nerve at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria during the 42nd Postgraduate Course of the University of Santo Tomas Hospital Department of Ophthalmology.

I would like to thank the department, especially the organizers, for inviting me to be one of the speakers at the said event. We also congratulate the UST Hospital Department of Ophthalmology for a very successful program. 👁️
