Comprehensive Care in Eye Diseases, Laser Procedures, and Microsurgery He is a member in good standing of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology (PAO) and an international member of the Japanese Ophthalmological Society (JOS). Dr. Simpao earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and completed his ophthalmology residency training at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Department of Ophthalmology. He further pursued international training in ophthalmology at Columbia University in New York, USA, where he completed the Basic and Clinical Science Course in Ophthalmology. He completed his international fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Strabismus and Neuro-Ophthalmology at the International University of Health and Welfare Atami Hospital, Department of Ophthalmology in Atami City, Shizuoka, Japan. Currently, Dr. Simpao is an ophthalmology consultant at several clinics and hospitals in Pampanga and Manila, Philippines.

I am truly honored and proud to share that I have been invited to be one of the international speakers at the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress 2027 in Singapore!

APAO is one of Asia’s leading ophthalmic organizations and scientific meetings, bringing together ophthalmologists and eye-care professionals from across the region and around the world.

This is a very meaningful milestone in my journey as an ophthalmologist, and I am deeply grateful for this opportunity.

Looking forward to sharing knowledge, learning from colleagues, and seeing everyone at APAO Singapore 2027! 🇸🇬👁️

25-year-old female with alternating exotropia (Banlag) for many years, which did not improve with glasses or prisms (top photos).

We performed strabismus surgery (lower photos), which significantly improved her eye alignment just 3 days after surgery.

He experienced progressively worsening esotropia (duling) and diplopia (doble ang nakikita) over the past 5 years, which did not improve with glasses or any other treatment. Before surgery, he had approximately 90 prism diopters (PD) of esotropia. After undergoing strabismus surgery, he achieved a remarkable improvement in both his eye alignment and double vision. 👁️

We successfully performed cataract surgery on the left eye in 2024, and they returned in 2026 for cataract surgery on the right eye.
