Basal cell carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer. Mohs micrographic surgery is the treatment of choice for those located the H zone (examples in the post: ear, upper lip). Advantages include tissue conservation and examination of entire tissue to achieve tumor clearance. If you have suspicious looking lesions, consult your board-certified dermatologist and have yourself checked.
