Come along with us as we take a look at the wonderful journey we’ve had at MSSR this past semester!🎒✨

From the gathering our ideas during our 2nd Members' GA 🚀, reconnecting with our fellow adventurers at the Return Flight ✈️🌏, advocating for justice with Med and Order⚖️⚕️, going on the trail of environmental protection with TREAD🥾🧗, helping medical students stay concentrated for their exams with OS 206 and Grand OSCE Reviewers📇, being ready to save lives with PULSE⚕️❤️‍🩹 , empowering public health with SIBOL🌱🩺, to filling our plate with basic nutritional knowledge with the TOY Project 🧸📕

At MSSR, we came for the adventure, but stayed for the people and the advocacy🌏✈️

[SIBOL: A Dengue Public Health Lecture Documentation 🩺]

In celebration of National Dengue Awareness Month, UP MSSR successfully held SIBOL: a Public Health Lecture on Dengue 💙 held last June 10, 2026, with Sangguniang Kabataan 696!

From the 4Ts and tackling dengue symptoms to discussing the multifactorial nature of health, the PHL inspired a healthy and engaging dialogue between medical students and Barangay 696. 🧑‍🏫

Furthermore, a panel discussion was conducted with students from the University of Hong Kong to tackle public health concerns and solutions. 🩺

We would like to thank the Organizing Committee and Sangguniang Kabataan 696 for making this event possible! 🫶

Ready to respond, equipped to save lives in the community. 💯

Phase 2 of PULSE: First Aid 101 successfully wrapped up in Brgy. San Jose, Montalban, Rizal last June 5-6, 2026! ❤️‍🩹 Volunteers from UP MSSR and the PGH Emergency Department spent two incredible days training local community health workers and volunteers from the Montalban Action Group and Medical Action Group in first aid techniques. 🩹

From the fundamental CABCDE assessment approach to high-pressure skills like wound packing, applying tourniquets, stopping severe blood flow, performing CPR, and safe patient lifting, these participants were able to hone their skills in a span of 2 days. 💪

Check out some highlights from our hands-on training sessions below! 👇

Special thanks as well to our partner organizations INAM Philippines and Medical Action Group for their aid in making this event possible ♥

[SIBOL CULMINATION: Dengue Public Health Lecture 🩺]

Fight the bite, do it right! 🦟

The Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH), the Standing Committee on Nature and Environment (SCONE), and the Asian Medical Student Exchange Program (AMSEP), presents the culmination of SIBOL, 🌱 a Public Health Lecture on Dengue from UP MSSR 💙 happening this June 10, 2026, with Sangguniang Kabataan 696!

In the Philippines, dengue remains one of the most common mosquito-borne diseases, especially during the rainy season ☔️ when mosquitoes become more prevalent. Every year, thousands of Filipinos get infected, making disease prevention ✋ and early detection important to protect our communities. 🏡

A clean environment 🌳 remains one of the strongest defense against dengue. By working together, we can practice the 4Ts to reduce infection and promte healthier communities 🩺

Kontra Dengue, Responsibilidad ng Bawat Pilipino!
