SUCCESSFULLY REMOVING A 8KG OVARIAN CYST 😰
✍ Recently, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital successfully performed surgery to remove a 30cm, nearly 8kg ovarian cyst from patient Jessica Nahine
(38 years old, Manila).
👨⚕️ The patient was admitted with a significantly enlarged abdomen, accompanied by abdominal pain and discomfort. Through examination and diagnosis, it was determined that the patient had been suffering from menstrual disorders for several months, which led to the formation of the ovarian cyst. Doctor Grace diagnosed the condition and recommended surgery to remove the cyst.
After nearly 2 hours of surgery, with the coordinated efforts of multiple specialties and an anesthesia and resuscitation team, the large ovarian cyst and 4 liters of abdominal fluid were safely removed from the patient without affecting the re**um, ureter, or bladder.
► The patient continued to receive care and monitoring in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the hospital. Just a few days after the surgery, Jessica Nahine
began to recover, with her health stabilizing and the ability to engage in light activities.
📍 Ovarian cysts are common benign conditions. However, in some cases, cysts can develop into ovarian cancer, which is very dangerous and can threaten health and life if not treated promptly.
