Due to popular demand, the deadline of registration has been EXTENDED to February 25, 2026.

The course will include lectures by the Philippine General Hospital Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences’ faculty and alumni, a hands-on Phacoemulsification Wet Lab session, and a Phacoemulsification Masterclass featuring video presentations, and discussions by renowned cataract specialists.

This two-day in-person event will be held on February 28 to March 1, 2026 at the Sentro Oftalmologico Jose Rizal, Philippine General Hospital, Taft Avenue, Manila.

This course has been approved for 10 CPD units.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, in collaboration with the Ophthalmology Residents and Alumni Association (ORAA), is excited to announce the annual Basic Course in Phacoemulsification on February 28-March 1, 2026.

The course will bring together mentors and trainees for a hands-on, high-yield programme centered on phacoemulsification techniques through discussions by renowned cataract specialists and wet lab sessions.

This two-day, in-person event will take place at the Sentro Oftalmologico Jose Rizal Building, PGH Compound, Taft Avenue, Manila.
