WARTS are more common than you think!
Warts are caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and can spread through direct skin-to-skin contact or by sharing personal items such as towels, razors, and nail tools. Small cuts or breaks in the skin can make transmission easier.
While some warts may disappear on their own, many persist and can spread to other areas of the body or to other people. Treatment options include topical medications, cryotherapy (freezing), electrocautery, and other dermatologist-recommended procedures.
If you notice a persistent or growing wart, consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation and treatment. Message us for a schedule.

Worrying about acne scars and redness?
Our Pico Laser treatment can help address those scars!
Pico laser treatment can be effective in reducing the appearance of post-inflammatory erythema (PIE), which are red or pink marks left behind after acne lesions heal. Studies show that picosecond lasers, can significantly improve the appearance of PIE with minimal side effects.

Clinical trials demonstrate that picosecond lasers can reduce the redness associated with PIE and improve overall skin appearance.

How does Pico Laser work for PIE?
Pico lasers, target the red pigment (hemoglobin) in the blood vessels responsible for PIE. The laser's short pulse duration and high peak power can effectively break down these vessels, reducing the redness.

Number of sessions:
Typically, multiple treatment sessions are needed to achieve optimal results, with some studies showing significant improvement after four sessions.

Procedure:
The treatment involves using the picosecond laser to deliver targeted energy to the affected areas.

Results:
Patients can expect a reduction in redness, and improvement in overall skin tone and texture.

Side Effects:
Pico laser treatment is generally well-tolerated, with mild side effects like temporary redness which subsides in several minutes or an hour.

Recovery:
The recovery period is usually short, with patients able to resume normal activities shortly after treatment.

Wondering how to lighten your dark underarms?

Start with consulting a board-certified Dermatologist to give you the optimal treatment you need.

A dermatologist can treat dark underarms with prescriptions for lightening creams containing hydroquinone or retinoids, in-office procedures like chemical peels and laser therapy, or oral medications for severe cases like acanthosis nigricans.

The best treatment depends on the cause of the darkening, which a dermatologist will diagnose, as conditions like acanthosis nigricans often require different approaches than simple hyperpigmentation from friction or irritation.

Medical Treatments can be one of the following :
Prescription Creams:
A dermatologist may prescribe creams with ingredients such as hydroquinone, tretinoin (a retinoid), azelaic acid, or kojic acid to lighten the skin.

Chemical Peels:
Chemical peels using trichloroacetic acid (TCA) can remove damaged and thickened skin cells, helping to reveal brighter skin.

Laser Therapy:
Laser treatments can reduce skin thickness, decrease melanin production, and brighten the underarm area.

Oral Medications:
In severe cases of acanthosis nigricans, oral retinoids may be prescribed, but these have significant side effects and require careful discussion with the dermatologist.

In-Office Procedures

Laser Hair Removal:
This treatment can help brighten the underarm area, improve texture, and shrink pores.

Professional Chemical Peels:
A specialist can apply a plant-based or chemical solution to gently exfoliate and remove the top layers of pigmented skin.

Remember patience is required.
Treatments like chemical exfoliants and prescription creams may take weeks or even months to show noticeable results.

Are you ready for the summer heat?
Have your favourite sunscreen apply daily to prevent lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and skin cancer.

The Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) recommends daily use of broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) to prevent skin cancer, premature aging (wrinkles, sun spots), and damage from UVA/UVB rays. It acts as a protective barrier, reducing sunburn risks and maintaining skin health, especially crucial in the intense tropical climate of the Philippines.

Key recommendations from the PDS and related dermatological guidelines include:
Protection Type: Use broad-spectrum sunscreen to block both UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays.
SPF Level: A minimum of SPF 30 is recommended to protect against skin cancer.
Application: Apply 15–30 minutes before going outside and reapply every two hours, or immediately after sweating or swimming.
Amount: Use enough to cover all exposed skin (roughly 30ml for the whole body).
Skin Types: For oily or acne-prone skin, choose water-based, noncomedogenic, and fragrance-free formulations.

Try our Eve's Skin SPF 50 Sunscreen enriched with Vit E and Hyaluronic acid. It has nonsticky feel and hydrates your skin while protecting you from the sun .
