Play Matters Therapy Center is proud to partner with the Angeles University Foundation – College of Allied Medical Professions in providing Occupational Therapy students with valuable observation and introductory hands-on learning experiences in a pediatric therapy setting.

Through this partnership, future occupational therapists gain meaningful exposure to real-world clinical practice, allowing them to observe evidence-based interventions, understand the role of collaborative care, and develop a deeper appreciation for pediatric rehabilitation. Under the guidance of our experienced therapists, students are also given opportunities for supervised, introductory hands-on experiences that help bridge classroom learning with clinical application.

At Play Matters Therapy Center, we believe that investing in the education and training of future healthcare professionals strengthens the quality of care for the communities we serve. We are honored to contribute to the growth of aspiring occupational therapists and grateful to Angeles University Foundation for trusting us as one of their clinical learning partners.

We are grateful to our partnership with the
University of the Assumption in providing an enriching Senior High School immersion experience at Play Matters Therapy Center!

Through this collaboration, the students had the opportunity to observe and learn about the roles of Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy (ST), Physical Therapy (PT) and special educator (SPED) professionals in a pediatric therapy setting. This immersive experience allowed them to gain firsthand insight into the dedication, compassion, and teamwork involved in helping children achieve their fullest potential.

At Play Matters Therapy Center, we are committed to supporting future professionals by providing meaningful learning experiences that bridge classroom knowledge with real-world practice.

Thank you to the University of the Assumption for trusting us to be part of your students' educational journey. We look forward to continuing this partnership and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Sharing the story of Mico, an 18 year old adolescent who continues to attend occupational therapy at PMTC. His OT program include transitioning, pre-vocational tasks and IADLs (e.g. household management, money management, grocery shopping). Currently, he works as a laundry assistant who folds newly cleaned clothes. Through the continued support, training and patience of his parents and with the guidance of his occupational therapist, Mico explores his potentials to be part of the community. Congratulations Mico and praying for more opportunities to come your way! Keep it up!

Nicu, a former student at PMTC who was featured last year, ended this academic year at Grade 7 with Honors. He was also awarded with “Hardworking Working Student” award and “Perfect Attendance” award.
