February is Heart Month—a time to focus on the importance of cardiovascular health. Cardiovascular disease (Heart Attack, Stroke, etc) pa din ang No. 1 cause of death sa Pilipinas.

For Heart Month, alamin ang Atherosclerosis: ang build-up ng cholesterol plaque sa mga ugat sa puso, utak, etc. na pwedeng maging sanhi ng heart attack or stroke. Alamin ang inyong lipid profile, lalo na ang “bad cholesterol” or LDL level. Tandaan, kadalasan ay walang symptoms ang mga may high cholesterol. Kung mataas, kumonsulta sa inyong doctor para malaman ang iyong risk of a heart attack/stroke, at kung papaano pababain ang risk na ito.
