Working together for every learner's well-being. 💚

Last July 9–10, 2026, the NNHS CARE Center successfully conducted the simultaneous administration of the Children and Adolescent Risk Screener (CARS) and the Rapid HEEADSSS Assessment for Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners.

Following the collection of signed informed consent forms from parents and guardians, the screening was administered by our dedicated Grade 11 and Grade 12 advisers during their scheduled Homeroom Guidance classes. A small group of learners also completed the assessment at the CARE Center, where additional guidance and support were readily available.

This initiative reflects our shared commitment to the early identification of learners' needs, promoting mental health and well-being, and fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing school environment where every learner feels seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.

The Care Center successfully conducted the Orientation on the Administration of the Children and Adolescent Risk Screener (CARS) and Rapid
Home, Education/Employment, Eating/Exercise, Activities/ Peer Relationships, Drugs/Substances, Sexuality, Suicide/Depression, Safety (HEEADSSS) on July 3, 2026, at the NNHS Library.

The activity was facilitated by Ms. Aubrey S. Pili, Guidance Coordinator II, together with the SHS Guidance Counselors, Lovely Ann R. Baeño, Psychological Testing/ Assessment Focal Person, and Sir Jeffrey Albania, ASP for Learner Support Designate, whose support and collaboration contributed to the successful conduct of the orientation. The activity brought together our Grade 11 and Grade 12 advisers in preparation for the proper implementation of these screening tools.

Through collaboration and our shared commitment, we continue to strengthen our efforts in promoting the mental health, safety, and overall well-being of every NNHS learner. 💚
