From structured planning and system design to full implementation—this is the story behind People-Centered Care.
What began last May 20,2025 as a deliberate initiative to improve how we deliver care evolved into a collaborative effort across the hospital.
Through a series of workshops, training sessions, and competency assessments, we engaged and covered the majority of our hospital employees—ensuring that people-centered care is not just a concept, but a shared and practiced standard.
We conducted benchmarking to learn from the experiences of those ahead of us. Moreover, we conducted town hall meetings to engage our patients and their families.
Now the manual is not the culmination of this work, it serves as a comprehensive guide for daily practice as we continue to elevate our services. Through this guide book, we aim to continue to provide:
• Clear standards for safe, high-quality, and respectful care
• Patient and family engagement, including communication and shared decision-making
• Defined workflows and coordination across departments
• Measurable indicators to monitor performance and accountability
• Processes to promote patient safety and continuous quality improvement
More than a milestone, this is a step forward in building a healthcare system that truly listens, responds, and cares.
Last but but not the least,
Meet the PCC Team—
the minds behind the system,
the hands that built the process,
and the heart that keeps people at the center of care.
