Offering to the Greek god of medicine.
Ancient Greek sculpture of a man clasping a leg with visible veins. This was a votive offering to Asclepius (where the name Asklepian came), the Greek god of medicine, most probably commissioned by a man who was suffering from varicose veins.
This sculpture is held at the National Museum of Athens, Greece.
