BUNTIS CONGRESS 2026

Malampusong gipahigayon sa Panabo City Health Office ang Buntis Congress 2026, diin 152 ka mga mabdos gikan sa 40 ka barangays sa Panabo City ang aktibong mitambong aron mapalawom ang ilang kahibalo bahin sa pag-atiman sa ilang kaugalingon ug sa ilang mga anak. Nakaangkon usab sila og libreng check-up, tambal, ug mga raffle prizes.

Ang maong kalihokan gipangulohan ni Ms. Marianne V. Serrano, RN, MN, Maternal and Child Health Program Coordinator, uban sa suporta sa City Health Officer Dr. Algae Rose A. Sumaoang-Hechanova,ug mga healthcare workers.

Pinaagi sa hiniusang pagpaningkamot sa Lokal nga Panggamhanan sa Syudad sa Panabo ug sa City Health Office, padayon nga gipalig-on ang mga inisyatibo nga nagpalambo sa safe motherhood ug sa mas himsog nga kaugmaon alang sa matag Panaboanon.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | On July 20, 2026, the Provincial Health Office – Population and Development Division conducted a validation at the City Health Office Population and Development Section in line with the Health Summit Awards assessment. The activity evaluated the implementation, accomplishments, and documentary compliance of the City's key Population and Development programs and digital health systems, namely the Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP), Adolescent Health and Development (AHD), Male Reproductive Health (Male Repro), Davao del Norte Health Information and Management System (DHIMS) LGU Level, DeHeaRS, and the Population and Development office (POPDEV).

Through the validation process, the Provincial Health Office acknowledged the efforts of the City Health Office Population and Development Section in implementing population and development initiatives while identifying opportunities for further improvement in planning, monitoring, reporting, and data management. The activity reaffirmed the importance of accurate and reliable information systems, effective program coordination, and evidence-based decision-making in achieving better health and development outcomes for the community. It also provided a venue for meaningful discussions, technical guidance, and the sharing of recommendations to further strengthen the implementation of population and development programs and services in the City.

Free Progestin Subdermal Implant (PSI) insertion, reinsertion, or removal were provided to 21 clients on June 29, 2026 at the Barangay Health Center of New Visayas, Panabo City.

PSI is one of the long-acting family planning methods with up to 3 years of effectivity which is provided by Midwives trained with PSI.

The said Family Planning Outreach Program was spearheaded by the City Government of Panabo’s City Health Office-Population and Development Section.

To avail of PSI or any family planning methods in Panabo City, kindly visit your Barangay Health Center.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | On July 15, 2026, the City Health Office (CHO) Population and Development (PopDev) Section successfully convened its first Coordinative Meeting with the members of the City Population and Development Coordinating Committee (CPDCC) at the BHW Building, CHO Main, Barangay New Pandan, Panabo City. The meeting served as a platform to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and reaffirm the committee's shared commitment to advancing population and development initiatives in the city.

During the meeting, the CHO PopDev Section together with the PPO IV- PHO Flor B. Lucas III, RN, presented the current demographic profile and key population and development concerns of Panabo City using data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the Commission on Population and Development (CPD), and the Davao del Norte Health Information and Management System (DHIMS). These data-driven discussions provided valuable insights into the city's population trends and highlighted priority issues that require coordinated planning and evidence-based interventions.

A key highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the pilot implementation of the Community-Based Registry of Barangay Inhabitants and Migrants (RBIM) in Barangays New Visayas and San Vicente. The initiative aims to establish an accurate and regularly updated registry of inhabitants and migrants, strengthen migration reporting at the barangay level, and generate reliable demographic information to support local planning, policymaking, and the effective delivery of government programs and services.

The committee members also expressed their full support for the initiative and committed to working closely with the CHO PopDev Section. Through strengthened collaboration among local government offices and partner agencies, the CPDCC seeks to promote a secure, reliable, and sustainable population information system that will enhance evidence-based governance, improve public service delivery, and contribute to the overall welfare and development of the people of Panabo City.
