Good evening.

Like many of you, our team experienced the recent earthquake with concern for our families, our loved ones, our patients, and our community. I would first like to share some reassuring news.

All of our staff members and all patients under our care have been accounted for and are safe. Following our emergency response procedures, patients were promptly assessed, secured, and relocated as needed.

As of this writing, our admitted patients are already being settled back into their respective care areas so that treatment and monitoring can continue with as little disruption as possible.

I am deeply grateful to our doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, support staff, and emergency response teams who responded quickly and calmly during a challenging situation.

Our Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Laboratory, Pharmacy, CT Scan, MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Acute Stroke services, and Cardiac Care services remain fully operational. For patients experiencing a heart attack, our Cath Lab team remains ready to provide emergency cardiac catheterization services.

We continue to be the only hospital in Davao del Norte currently capable of providing this level of emergency heart attack care. Likewise, as Panabo City’s first and only Acute Stroke Ready Hospital, we remain fully prepared to assess, stabilize, and coordinate care for patients suffering from stroke, where every minute can make a difference.

Over the coming days, some non-urgent services may be temporarily relocated while restoration and improvement works are carried out in selected areas of the hospital. These adjustments are being made so that we can continue giving priority to emergency, critical care, and time-sensitive patients who need us most.

Patient navigators and hospital personnel will be stationed throughout the hospital to assist patients and families during this transition. If you need help locating a clinic, office, or service area, please do not hesitate to ask.

The earthquake may have changed some of our surroundings, but it has not changed who we are or why we are here.

Buildings can be repaired.
Our responsibility to the people entrusted to our care remains.
Our Emergency Room remains open.
Our ICU remains operational.
Our stroke and heart attack response teams remain ready.
Our doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff continue to report for duty with the same commitment they have always shown.

We remain here. We remain ready.
