AFGH MENTAL HEALTH TEAM STRENGTHENS MENTAL WELLNESS ACROSS CJVAB UNITS

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to promoting psychological well-being and building a mentally resilient force, the Air Force General Hospital (AFGH) Mental Health Team successfully conducted a series of Mental Health Awareness Lectures for personnel of 11 units under Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base from March to June 2026 with a total number of 751 attendees.

Through these engagements, the AFGH Mental Health Team provided timely discussions on mental health awareness, stress management, resilience, and the importance of seeking help, fostering an environment where psychological wellness is recognized as an essential component of operational readiness. Beyond conducting lectures, the team continuously participates in various initiatives that support the Philippine Air Force's mission of ensuring the overall health and well-being of its personnel.

AFGH CONDUCTS SFA AND BLS-CPR WITH AED AND PATIENT ASSESSMENT APPROACH TRAINING

The Air Force General Hospital (AFGH) successfully conducted the Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training, which included Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use and Patient Assessment Approach, for AFGH personnel and participating personnel from units under the Air Installation and Base Development Command (AIBDC). The training provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in responding to medical emergencies, ensuring timely and effective intervention during critical situations.

This initiative aims to strengthen and enhance the emergency response and first aid capabilities of personnel by equipping them with the competencies necessary to assess, manage, and provide immediate care to individuals experiencing medical emergencies. Through continuous training and skills development, AFGH remains committed to promoting preparedness, improving lifesaving capabilities, and fostering a culture of safety and responsiveness.
