The TMC CDP-Feeding Clinic is
grateful to the TMC South Luzon pediatricians who joined us for “FIRST STEPS”—a training workshop for pediatricians preparing to care for children with feeding difficulties.

We are especially excited as TMC South Luzon prepares to open its own Feeding Clinic soon! 💙

When a child’s behavior is challenging, understanding what’s behind it can make all the difference.

Understanding why a child behaves in a certain way can help parents respond with greater confidence and provide the right support. For children with autism spectrum disorder, behaviors may be related to communication needs, sensory experiences, changes in routine, or other factors in their environment.

Join us for an educational session on Addressing Behavior of Children with Autism, where we will discuss how to understand the meaning behind behaviors, recognize possible triggers and contributing factors, and learn practical strategies to respond to children’s needs and promote positive, adaptive behaviors.

🌈 COLORS ON THE TABLE: WHY EAT THE RAINBOW?

Different colors can represent different combinations of phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals and fiber. No single color provides everything—variety is the goal over time.

🔴 RED — supports heart and blood vessel health and antioxidant defenses
🟠 ORANGE — supports healthy vision, immunity, skin and growth
🟡 YELLOW — supports vision, immunity and antioxidant defenses
🟢 GREEN — supports healthy eyes, growing cells, digestion and immunity
🔵 BLUE — supports brain, heart and blood vessel health and antioxidant defenses
🟣 PURPLE/VIOLET — provides anthocyanins and other polyphenols that support cardiovascular and cellular health
🤍 WHITE — still counts! White plant foods provide fiber and many beneficial nutrients and plant compounds
🤎 BROWN — whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds and mushrooms can provide fiber, minerals and diverse plant compounds

But here’s the Feeding Clinic question:
Does “eat the rainbow” have to mean “finish the rainbow”?

For some children, progress begins with seeing, touching, smelling, helping prepare, or simply tolerating a food nearby.
