Happy Women's Month!!!
A Prayer for Women
God of life and dignity,
You created woman in Your image and likeness
and crowned her with strength and grace.
We thank You for the women who have shaped our lives, mothers and sisters, teachers and leaders,
friends and companions in faith.
In them we glimpse Your compassion and strength.
We look to Mary,
Mary, Mother of Jesus,
the humble maiden of Nazareth,
whose yes opened the door to salvation.
In her courage at the Annunciation,
her fidelity at the foot of the Cross,
and her hope at the dawn of the Resurrection,
we see the fullest flowering of womanhood.
Forgive us for the times
we have failed to honor women’s dignity,
silenced their voices,
or allowed injustice to wound them.
Grant us the grace to build a society
that respects and honors women,
a world where they are safe,
valued, heard, and given equal dignity.
Strengthen women who carry heavy burdens.
Heal those who suffer in silence.
Protect those whose lives are threatened.
Through Mary’s intercession,
teach us to treasure the gift of every woman
and to defend her sacred worth.
May we never forget
that the greatest of all saints is a woman,
and that through a woman
salvation entered the world.
Amen.
