Connection comes before growth. Growth creates meaningful transitions. 🫶

Congratulations to our very own occupational therapists, Teacher Caleb and Teacher Margaux, for successfully completing DIR 101: An Introduction to DIR® and DIRFloortime®, held on July 17–18, 2026, at Quest Hotel Clark, Pampanga.

DIRFloortime® reminds us that children learn best through relationships, play, and meaningful interactions. This training equips our therapists with evidence-based strategies to better understand each child's unique developmental profile and support their communication, emotional regulation, and social engagement.

Because at Transitioning Kids Therapy Center, we believe every meaningful transition begins with a meaningful connection. ❤

At Transitioning Kids Therapy Center, we believe that meaningful transitions happen one small step at a time.

Congratulations to our dedicated occupational therapists— Teacher Avery, Teacher Bea, Teacher Krista, and Teacher Nicole—for successfully completing the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding® Hybrid Training Course held on July 9–12, 2026, at Acacia Hotel Manila, Alabang.

This achievement reflects our commitment to providing evidence-based, child-centered, and family-focused feeding therapy. Through the SOS Approach to Feeding®, our therapists are equipped with additional knowledge and strategies to help children develop confidence, curiosity, and positive relationships with food.

Congratulations on this well-deserved milestone! Here's to helping more children transition toward brighter, bigger days 🌈

Is ABA Certification legal and recognized in the Philippines?

Currently, ABA certification (such as BCBA, BCaBA, or RBT) is not legally recognized in the Philippines as a professional license. These credentials are international and respected in practice, but they do not carry legal authority under Philippine law.

---

Legal Status in the Philippines

• Republic Act No. 10029 (Philippine Psychology Act of 2009): Only PRC-licensed psychologists and psychometricians are legally authorized to practice psychology. ABA therapy falls under psychological practice when delivered as clinical intervention.
• ABA Certification: International ABA credentials are considered additional qualifications but have no independent legal standing. They cannot substitute for PRC licensure.
• Education Context: Teachers and special educators may apply ABA principles in classrooms, but this is regulated under DepEd/CHED, not ABA certification.

---

Recognition in Practice

• Clinics and Schools: Many private centers advertise ABA services with BCBA-certified staff. While families value these credentials, legally the clinic must also employ PRC-licensed psychologists if ABA is framed as therapy.
• Professional Value: ABA certification signals specialized training and international standards, but it is treated as voluntary professional development, not a license.
• Government Programs: ABA is not yet formally integrated into DOH or DepEd regulations, so certification is recognized informally, not legally.

✅ Bottom line: ABA certification is respected but not legally recognized in the Philippines. It can enhance credibility, but it cannot replace PRC licensure for clinical practice.
