ILOILO PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL — September 7, 2026 — The Iloilo Provincial Hospital (IPH) Social Service Office successfully conducted the Monitoring and Evaluation activity for the Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) Program, in coordination with the Department of Health Central Office and DOH Region VI.

The activity highlighted IPH’s continuing efforts to ensure the effective implementation of the MAIFIP Program and the delivery of timely and responsive assistance to qualified patients.

During the monitoring, the IPH Social Service Office presented the hospital’s program implementation, services provided, number of beneficiaries assisted, key accomplishments, challenges encountered, and the continuing need for additional MAIFIP funds to further strengthen support for indigent and financially incapacitated patients.

𝘼 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙: 𝙈𝘼𝙄𝙁𝙄𝙋 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙉𝙤𝙬 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚

A significant milestone highlighted during the activity is the continuing implementation of eMAIFIP, which brings the MAIFIP application process into the digital space.

Qualified patients can now apply for MAIFIP assistance online through the eGov platform, providing a more convenient and accessible way to initiate their application for medical and financial assistance.

This digital innovation is expected to help streamline the application process, improve accessibility, and bring government assistance closer to patients—particularly those who may find it challenging to navigate traditional application processes.

The move toward digital access further demonstrates IPH’s commitment to modernizing service delivery, improving efficiency, and making essential assistance more accessible to the community.

More than an assessment of program implementation, the activity underscored IPH’s commitment to efficient, accountable, and patient-centered delivery of social and medical assistance—ensuring that available resources reach those who need them most.

With its continuing efforts to improve systems, expand access, and embrace digital solutions, Iloilo Provincial Hospital continues to move forward in providing responsive and inclusive healthcare assistance to the people of Iloilo.
