π£ Diabetes early signs and symptoms
π£ Frequent urination
β High blood sugar makes the kidneys work harder to remove extra sugar through urine.
β This can make you pass urine more often, especially at night.
π£ Increased thirst
β Because the body loses more water through frequent urination, you may feel very thirsty.
β Some people feel like they cannot quench their thirst easily.
π£ Extreme hunger
β Even after eating, you may still feel hungry.
β This happens because the body is not using sugar properly for energy.
π£ Unexplained weight loss
β Some people lose weight without trying.
β This can happen when the body starts breaking down fat and muscle for energy instead of using glucose normally.
π£ Fatigue
β Diabetes can make you feel tired, weak, or low on energy.
β This happens because the bodyβs cells are not getting energy properly.
π£ Blurred vision
β High blood sugar can affect the lenses of the eyes and make vision blurry.
β Sometimes this improves when blood sugar is controlled.
π£ Slow-healing sores
β Cuts, wounds, or skin sores may heal more slowly than usual.
β High blood sugar can affect blood flow and healing.
π£ Frequent infections
β Some people get repeated skin infections, gum problems, urinary infections, or fungal infections.
β High blood sugar can make it easier for germs to grow.
π£ Numbness or tingling
β Tingling, burning, or numbness in the feet or hands can happen, especially if diabetes has been present for some time.
β This is called neuropathy.
π£ Important note
β Some people with early diabetes have only mild symptoms, or no symptoms at all.
β A blood sugar test is the best way to confirm diabetes.
β If you have several of these symptoms together, especially thirst, frequent urination, tiredness, blurred vision, or weight loss, you should get checked.
