Physical therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, rest

ore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

Dengue Cases in Palawan and Puerto Princesa Now Exceed 500.

Dengue cases in Palawan Province and Puerto Princesa City have reached more than 500, with 6 reported deaths. According to the Vector-Borne Disease Program of MIMAROPA: A total of 560 cases were recorded in Palawan. Puerto Princesa reported 160 cases, with 2 deaths. Other municipalities with high numbers include Narra (68), Bataraza (48), and Roxas (47). One death each was recorded in Culion, Coron, Cuyo, and Quezon Although there is a 46% decrease compared to the same period last year (1,042 cases), Palawan still records the highest number of dengue cases in the entire MIMAROPA Region, with 1,054 total cases and 9 deaths region-wide.

Dengue is a viral infection transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. Early recognition of symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, joint and muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, rash, and bleeding is crucial. Severe cases may present with abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, bleeding, rapid breathing, and extreme weakness.

If anyone experiences these symptoms, bring the patient immediately to the PMMGMPC Emergency Room or call: 0906 448 7439 / 0930 056 7641.
There is no specific cure for dengue—prevention remains the best protection. Eliminate mosquito breeding sites, practice proper sanitation, and protect your family from mosquito bites.
Stay alert. Stay protected.
