Dala ng temang “Autism and Humanity - Every Life Has Value”, mahalagang pag-usapan ang isa sa mga seryosong concern sa mga indibidwal na may autism—ang biglaang paglayo o pag-alis mula sa bahay o sa tagapag-alaga nang hindi sinasadya, na tinatawag ding wandering o elopement. Nakababahala ito para sa mga magulang at tagapag-alaga, lalo na kung ang bata ay hindi pa lubos na nakakaintindi ng mga panganib sa kanyang paligid.

Upang mapanatiling ligtas ang bata habang binibigyan siya ng sapat na kalayaan, mahalaga ang maagang paghahanda. Alamin ang ilan sa mga ligtas tips na dapat alalahanin ng mga magulang at tagapag-alaga.

Sa huli, mahalaga ang balanseng approach: bigyan ang bata ng kalayaan at oportunidad na matuto, habang pinapangalagaan ang kanyang kaligtasan. Sa tamang paghahanda at gabay, maaaring maging ligtas at makabuluhan ang bawat hakbang ng ating mga anak.

Bawat buhay ay mahalaga at karapat-dapat sa pag-unawa at pag-aaruga.

Ang Marso ay Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, isang panahon upang palawakin ang kaalaman at pag-unawa ng komunidad tungkol sa Cerebral Palsy (CP).

Ang CP ay isang kondisyon na nakaaapekto sa paggalaw, balanse, at postura ng bata, na kadalasang dulot ng pinsala o abnormalidad sa developing brain habang ang sanggol ay nasa sinapupunan, sa oras ng kapanganakan, o sa mga unang taon ng buhay.

Sa pamamagitan ng maagang pagkilala sa mga senyales, agarang pagpapasuri, at maagang interbensyon, maaaring mapabuti ang kakayahan at kalidad ng buhay ng mga batang may cerebral palsy. Sa buwang ito, hinihikayat natin ang lahat na makiisa sa pagpapalaganap ng tamang impormasyon at suporta para sa mga batang may CP at kanilang mga pamilya.
