Fr. Jerry gently reminds us that true happiness does not mean having a perfect life. We can have problems, disappointments, unanswered prayers, and difficult days, yet still have peace in our hearts when we know that God is with us.
Many people spend their lives chasing happiness through money, success, possessions, or the approval of others. These things may bring temporary joy, but they cannot guarantee peace. Real peace comes from knowing that our lives are in Godβs hands.
There will always be things we cannot control. Plans may fail, people may disappoint us, and life may not always happen the way we hoped. But when we surrender what we cannot control to God, we no longer have to carry every burden alone.
Peace does not mean that all your problems have disappeared. It means you can still pray, trust, and sleep at night knowing that God is greater than whatever you are facing. Even in the middle of uncertainty, your heart can remain calm because your hope is in Him.
So do not wait for everything in your life to become perfect before allowing yourself to be happy. Be grateful for what you have, trust God with what you lack, and protect the peace He gives you. A peaceful heart with God is one of the greatest blessings you can have.
