Q: Bakit 'di dapat ipagsawalang bahala ang simpleng kagat o kalmot Ng hayop sa PAA?

A: Ang mga PAA ay itinuturing na high-risk site sa rabies exposure dahil sa ang mababaw na parte nito ay mayaman sa mga ugat (nerves).

❗Maraming nerve endings ang paa
Ang rabies virus ay dumadaan sa mga ugat (nerves) papunta sa spinal cord at utak. Kaya mas binibigyan ng pansin ang mga parte ng katawan na maraming nerves tulad ng KAMAY, PAA, at ARI.

❗Kapag nakarating na sa utak Ang Rabies virus at nagpakita na nga mga sintomas tulad Ng lagnat, hirap sa paginom, paglunok, takot sa tubig, at iba pa ay wala Ng pag-asang magamot pa at ito ay magreresulta Ng kamatayan.
