Today, we had to postpone a scheduled rhinoplasty after the patientโ€™s pre-operative laboratory results showed that it was safer not to proceed.

Our patient is an OFW with limited vacation time in the Philippines and understandably hoped to have the surgery done as soon as possible. She was disappointed, but she understood and was grateful that her safety came first.

Cosmetic surgery is elective surgery. There is never a good reason to compromise a patientโ€™s health just to keep a schedule.
